I have found some great Earth friendly products recently that I want to share with you. I think they have been around for a little while, but I have only just discovered them and am rather impressed.
Lush - Smuggler's Soul Shampoo Bar
First up is the Lush Smuggler's Soul Shampoo Bar. I am currently quite obsessed with Smuggler's Soul (and need to get my hands on the fragrance pronto.) I think it is aimed at men, but no matter, I love the earthiness of the scent and it really comes through in this shampoo bar.I had some problems getting a good lather with the last shampoo bar I bought, it was an orange one - I forget what it was called. But with this you get lots of lovely purple tinted lather and very easily, a little goes a long way which is always good news. My hair felt squeaky clean after using it and of course, I love the smell. I have used Lush shampoo bars for quite a while as I like that they are free of packaging and I think this is going to be my go to shampoo for a long time.
Lush - Big Solid Conditioner Bar
Up next is the Big Solid Conditioner bar from Lush.I have used Jungle, another of Lush's solid conditioner bars for a couple of years now, so wanted to try something different. It is intended to give your hair volume and although my hair really doesn't need any more height, I really liked the smell so decided to go for it. The conditioner went on easily and had a lovely milky smell that is hard to describe. Usually when I towel dry my hair, I find that any softness left by the conditioner gets rubbed away as well, so my hair feels a bit course. But after using this conditioner it maintained its softness and stayed that way while it dried. I think I will probably be using this for a while instead of Jungle, as I prefer the smell of this bar and I don't have much hair so it isn't over voluminous.
Salt of the Earth Deoderant
I bought this deodorant on a whim from Holland and Barratt as I wanted to try something new and am always looking to try out Earth Friendly products. This deodorant is not only Earth friendly, but also cruelty free and vegan. It is a spray, but not like a traditional pressurised can and is instead in a plastic bottle, spraying like water. As it is unscented, I found that if you are already smelly and sweaty it won't do much. You would need to have a wash and then apply it, but we probably should be doing this anyway. :) If I applied it first thing in the morning before starting my daily run about I found that it worked perfectly. Even on a very sticky day and there was definitely sweat present, there wasn't any stink at all. This will be my new go-to deodorant for sure.
I hope you enjoyed this review post, let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and whether you like them.
