I've been a little absent from my blog lately, having started a new job and having a lot of other things going on. I have no intention of abandoning the blog, even if I only post once a week or every fortnight and wanted to give you a quick update on everything that has been going on over the last month or so.
Bobby is bigger than ever! He's 19 months old now, 92cm high and weighs about 2 and half stone. He is a chatty, playful, funny and slightly bonkers child (but that was to be expected seeing as I birthed him.) He is coming on in leaps and bounds and is nicely settled at his childminders. We all had a great Christmas together and he got lots of car themed presents (his current obsession.)
I started a new job a month ago, which is full time. Bobby seems to be dealing with this very well, I am the one that has been feeling the guilt. I am now settled in my new job and although I think about Bobby a lot while I am at work, I know he is having fun with his friends and this makes me feel better. Things have been busy (as you will also see in a moment), so I have been trying to find the time for hobbies whenever I can.
I have enrolled on a part time degree with The College of the Creative Arts. I graduated last year, but ended up on the path that was on because of various circumstances. I am now going to be studying Illustration, something that I have always wanted to do, and originally wanted to do when I was entering college at 16. It will require a fair bit of work, but I have figured that it will be manageable if I do a bit everyday after Bobby has gone to work. I can also do a bit when I get home from work while I am making the tea, as I am usually home for 4.30pm and Mike picks Bobby up from the childminders at 6pm. I have high hopes that this will work out, as it is a dream come true to be studying it. It is wonderful that their fees are so affordable and the course so flexible, making it accessible for me.
I have also been working with crystals a lot lately and have been reading about them. I am finding that they have a very calming effect on me and am looking forward to working with them more extensively in the future. They also make great photographic subjects, which is good as I have been doing a lot of photography lately as well. I have been doing a project on Instagram where I post a picture of a heart every day in the month of January. It has been interesting finding hearts to photograph. I hope you are having a lovely 2017 so far. I will be back soon with a December and January favourites post and a post on the fun of Toddlerdom.
