Now that the sun is officially coming out and June is nearly here (already?!) I thought I would share with you some of things that we have been enjoying in May. I think Bobby's favourite thing in May was definitely sand, having discovered this cute little indoor sandpit at a friends birthday party. Fingers crossed for good weather next week so we can take him to the beach for his birthday. On with the list...
I discovered Earthly Pleasure accidentally when my friend liked them on Facebook and it came up on my timeline. Run by the lovely Millie, she makes beautiful Earth and spirituality themes jewellery. I stumbled across her collection as she was having a sale - she is off to warmer climbs for a little while - but I was able to snap up these lovely pieces below before she did. On the left is a silver leaf necklace and a pair of lotus flower earrings and on the right is an agate slice necklace. The items are beautifully put together and I will enjoy wearing them very much. I recommend checking out the Earthly Pleasure Facebook page as she still may have some pieces left and we wish her the best of luck on her yoga adventure.
Quorn Chorizo & Mozzarella
I can't actually get enough of this stuff. I've been having a pack of this ravioli for lunch once a week, usually as soon as I get home from the shop (it serves two... oopsy.) I have to restrain myself and only buy one pack, or I would have it every day. It is so moist that it doesn't need any sauce, in fact the one time I had sauce with it, it ruined the flavour. I doesn't taste of chorizo, but it is absolutely delicious and I will be keeping stocked up.
F**k It: Do What You Love by John Parkin
This book is on my Kindle, so don't have a great picture (this one is taken from the HayHouse website.) It was recommended to me by a student on my course at university and it sounded interesting so I thought I would give it a go. I am only a couple of chapters into Do What You Love so far, but am already finding it motivational and inspiring. Parkin looks at the reasons why doing what we love is actually good for us and how we can get over our reasons for not pursuing our dreams. I'm sure a full book review post will follow soon. :)
My final favourite for the month is mangos - but not eating them, smelling like them. It started when I found this Body Shop Mango Body Butter in my bathroom cupboard (having bought it ages ago and forgetting to use it) and just had to use it with the weather being so nice. We get about two weeks worth of summer in the UK, so might as well make the most of it and smell tropical. When I found this Original Source Mango shower gel I couldn't possibly resist - it smells so fruity and not at all artificial. I'm walking round smelling like a fruit, but what can you do?
I hope you all enjoy the sun while it lasts - I'm going to inhale a mango.
