I meant to write a monthly favourites blog post today, as I usually do at the end of the month. But then when it came to writing it, I realised ... I got nothing. Or at least nothing new that I have tried for long enough to be able to include it here. So I thought instead that it might be nice just to do a general round up of the month, especially as there have been a lot of changes for both me and Bobby lately.
Bobby is developing at a rate that I can't even hope to keep up with. He is running around very happily and copying a lot of what we are saying (so we need to be more careful now.) He is becoming more independent by the day - I know that people tell you they grow up fast, but you don't believe it until you see it.
October has been a particularly busy month for me. At the end of September, having been studying a Masters for a couple of weeks, I decided that I was not happy on the course and dropped off. This has been quite a drastic change as I am now figuring out what to do next. As you have probably seen from my Instagram and previous blog posts, I have had some ideas. I feel that I have now come to a decision, which is hopefully going to give me a chance to do something that I have wanted to do my entire life. I don't want to say too much at the moment in case it falls through, but I will keep you updated where I can. It is just a relief at this stage to have a direction, as there is nothing worse for me than not knowing what I am going to do.
I set up my own craft business in July and had my first sale last weekend. It was a bit slow going, but I don't think I did too bad considering that it was a quiet day (probably down to the bad weather.) I have my first public sale coming up in two weeks at a local makers market and will be talking a bit more about this in my post coming up on Wednesday. I can't help but feeling a little flat now that my first sale is over, as I was getting ready for it for so long - but I am looking forward to the next one and have been considering selling online. All of this will hopefully keep me occupied whilst things develop for me over the next year. I also have other freelancing plans - again I will keep you updated.
I am sorry that this post is only short - I will be posting about the craft fair and Halloween over the week (along with revealing Bobby's Halloween costume) and I also have some exciting posts planned for November. So until Wednesday, I hope you have a fantastic Halloween. A happy Samhain to you all. :)
