Today was one of those days when I had a post planned, but then something else occurred to me at the last minute. Instead of noting it down like I normally would, I couldn't resist sharing this one straight away - I hope you enjoy it. :) It was one of those ideas that occurs to you in the bath (like most good ideas), but I was thinking about parenting blogs. There are many blogs coming from the parents point of view, which I obviously love to read, but wouldn't it be fantastic to read a blog post from the child's point of view?
Perhaps letting your child post on your blog is a bad idea (especially if they are towards the baby and toddler end of the scale.) But it would be fun to create a post as if they were writing it - this would be especially fun if it was from the point of view of a baby. We could imagine our child's personality and what they is saying; what do all those little gurgles and noises mean? It could turn out to be quite a funny post, depending on how we imagine our baby's personality or interpret our child's mannerisms into a post. For example, my husband is always making jokes that our little boy frequently utters strings of right-wing expletive rants (as two lefts make a right.) I wouldn't put this in a post, but I have always imagined that he has inherited my dry sense of humour - so it could make for a funny and interesting blog entry.
I would love to see Katie from Hurrah For Gin turn the tables and do one of her cartoons from the child's point of view - my guess is that it will be hilarious. I'm planning to do a blog post for my little boy next week and would love to read yours, so I going to be hosting a linky. Let me know if you would like to co-host. :) You can read about the linky on my post next week, but you can also keep updated via any of my social media.
